Grainger Simple Application

Effective for Fall 2027 applications:

The M.Eng. in Energy Systems program invites current Grainger Engineering undergraduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply using the simple application process. Applicants meeting the criteria are eligible for an application fee waiver and are not required to submit letters of recommendation.

Applicants using the simple application are not automatically admitted into the M.Eng. in Energy Systems program. Final admission decisions rest with the Graduate College Admissions Office and require the completion of any academic degrees that were incomplete at the time of application and maintaining a satisfactory GPA.

To apply using the simple application, complete the university’s Online Application.

In the application fee waiver section, select “Yes” to the following questions:
